The Golden State Warriors on Monday won the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a score of 127-116 while on their away game. It is a significant win for the battle at the summit of the Western Conference.
It was a great response that the Warriors gave to the big defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers last Friday.
A very tough week concludes, and the franchise also triumphed over the present NBA champion – the Boston Celtics. At the beginning of the 2024/25 they stand with a total of eight wins from ten games.
As a result, the team equaled the Thunder and the Phoenix Suns at the top of the West but has a better record in direct games with Oklahoma.
On the other hand, the home team made the second tumble in three games in the NBA following the start of an unbeaten run streak three games out.
Home losses to both Denver Nuggets and Warriors plunge the franchise to the third position in the conference.
Just like in the case of Golden State benefits from winning the head to head match, the Thunder loses out and drops to the third position.
Warriors will be back to action on next Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks at the Chase centre in what will be classified game for NBA Cup and Klay Thompson’s return whereas the Thunder takes a two days rest.
The franchise will only play again on Wednesday, in the home game against New Orleans Pelicans.
The Warriors were never more than eight points behind but they were chasing most of the game in Oklahoma.
They were also back on the highlights from beyond the arc, fast breaks and paint attacks.
However, with Chet Holmgren getting injured, the game shifted and once the Warriors figured out that the home team had no real bigs to deal with them, they started getting it going.
