One of Dota 2’s most iconic and successful organisations is looking to make a comeback with a fresh new roster.
Eastern European organisation Virtus.pro (VP) has announced a complete rebuild of its Dota 2 roster with the acquisition of former Chimera Esports players. The remaining players in its former lineup, Ilya “Squad1x” Kuvaldin and Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko, are benched. This roster announcement comes just in time for the DreamLeague Season 26 qualifiers.

VP’s new Dota 2 roster is as follows:

Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev
Artem “Lorenof” Melnick
Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin
Ivan “OneJey” Zhivitsky
Vladislav “Rein” Kosygin
VP picks up former Chimera Esports players
VP is one of the most iconic names in the Dota 2 scene, boasting a prolific track record with multiple Major wins and several podium placements from 2017 to 2021. However, since finishing Top 8 at The International 2023, VP has rapidly declined in performance and failed to achieve any success. In January 2025, the team suffered a rough qualifier run and has since been absent from the competitive scene.

While the team has experienced its fair share of ups and downs over the past decade, it’s evident that the team has reached rock bottom in its current form.

With change overdue, VP imposed a complete reset to its Dota 2 roster, additionally, welcoming a new head for the Dota 2 division, Georgy “drAmer” Faleev.

Fans have high hopes with the new roster iteration as it fields well-known players with proven chemistry on paper. Most of VP’s new roster played together recently under Chimera Esports, pulling off an impressive Top 4 finish in DreamLeague Season 25 despite their underdog status.

The team’s carry player, TA2000, is most notable for his breakout performance with Quest Esports in 2023, claiming 4th place at the Bali Major and Top 8 at Riyadh Masters 2023.

Mid laner Lorenof will bring in plenty of experience despite being only 22, having played for Tier 1 organisations like Aurora Gaming and Tundra Esports. The two cores are ed by seasoned player Daxak, who was mostly known for his time in Gambit Esports from 2017 to 2019, before hopping onto various other lineups.

Two players rounding up the lineup are OneJey and Rein. The two players were regular Tier 2 competitors under L1GA TEAM and One Move, respectively. While OneJey was a part of the Chimera Esports’ former lineup, Rein will be ing the squad as a newcomer.
