Tundra Esports’ dyrachyo to take a break from competitive Dota 2 4di40

Dyrachyo’s surprising decision to take a break from Dota 2 comes after a short but very successful stint with Tundra Esports.
Tundra Esports’ carry player, Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov, announced an unexpected break from professional Dota 2 with a short video posted on his Telegram on Tuesday (18 March). The Russian player revealed that he had lost his desire to compete and plans to focus on leisurely activities, such as traveling and streaming, while he waits for his motivation to return.

Here’s what dyrachyo stated in the video, (translated via Google Translate):

“I decided to take a break from my professional career because professional Dota doesn’t bring me any pleasure. I don’t feel any excitement playing Dota like this every tournament after tournament. And so I decided that it would be better to take a break until I have the desire. During this break, I plan to travel, stream, enjoy life, and record some content for you.”

Following dyrachyo’s announcement, Tundra confirmed his departure with a farewell post on their official social media pages. The team acknowledged the player’s contributions to their success in such a short time, saying “in just three months, we lifted trophies, put on unforgettable performances, and shared moments we’ll never forget.”

Dyrachyo’s departure from Tundra Esports’ active roster comes as a shock to the Dota 2 community, especially as the team has been in dominant form in this new season. Since dyrachyo ed the team at the end of last year alongside Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov, Tundra won back-to-back tournaments at FISSURE PLAYGROUND #1 and BLAST Slam II as well as finished second in DreamLeague Season 25.

The carry player’s departure also follows Tundra’s recent runner-up finish at PGL Wallachia Season 3, which earned the team US$175,000.

The squad even reached the highest Glicko rating in history, overtaking Team Falcons’ prime in March 2024, according to Dota 2 statsman Ben “Noxville” Steenhuisen.

Tundra Esports to find a replacement before FISSURE Universe
With dyrachyo on the bench, Tundra Esports have only four days to find a replacement before their next event, FISSURE Universe Episode 4, commences. Tundra Esports’ current Dota 2 roster is:

TBA
Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
Neta “33” Shapira
Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
