Sally Pearson back on track after a string of injuries 4w6g3x

Australian Sally Pearson has posted her fastest time in the 100m hurdles since May 2015 as she battles back from injury.

Pearson won gold at the 2012 London Olympics in the event but was unable to defend her crown at Rio after suffering respective Achilles and hamstring injuries.

The 30-year-old, who now coaches herself, looks to be back on track however as she convincingly won her heat at the Australian Championships.

She was, in fact, the only competitor in a 19-strong field to post a time of under 13 seconds as she clocked in at 12.74 seconds.

If Pearson wins gold at the event she’ll automatically qualify for the London world titles in August.
