Team Helios, the only Indonesian representative in the APAC Predator League Dota2 2025, successfully secured their way to the semifinals. The team consisting of Rusman, Cije, azur4, Juju, and you_K in managed to become the best in Group C.
Team Helios under Rusman’s command did not encounter any significant difficulties in the group phase. In the first match, Team Helios managed to defeat the Malaysian representative, TK Esports. Dominating since the early game, Rusman et al only needed 25 minutes to end the resistance of TK Esports whose entire roster is female.
Just like in the first game, Team Helios again dominated the second game when facing the ToLight Team from China. Relying on the composition of the Morphling, Sniper, Visage, Spirit Breaker, and Phoenix heroes, they had faced tough resistance in the early game phase until the mid game.
However, entering the 20th minute, Team Helios’ draft and strategy could not be stopped anymore. They continued to excel in both kills and net worth and cornered their opponents. Team Helios finally ended the resistance of ToLight Team in the 37th minute and ensured their progress to the semifinals.
In the semifinals of the APAC Predator League Dota2 2025, Rusman et al will challenge a team from Mongolia, 123 Gaming. Team Helios must be wary of 123 Gaming’s strength, because they managed to eliminate Execration in the group stage. If they are careless, it is possible that 123 Gaming will create another surprise.
The other semifinal will bring together a team from Malaysia, Myth Avenue Gaming (MAG), against Ivory (Philippines). The meeting between the two teams is also no less interesting, considering that there are several names that are quite famous in the DOTA 2 SEA scene, such as Teehee and Grimz in Ivory and Bob and Xiaoyu from MAG.
The semifinals will take place on January 12, 2025. The match between Team Helios vs 123 Gaming will take place starting at 13:30. If they win, Team Helios will compete in the Grand Final round which will be held on the same day.
