Paris Saint-Germain have no reason to sell Rabiot to Barcelona l5e3i

Paris Saint-Germain have no reason to sell Adrien Rabbiot to Barcelona in the January transfer market. Rabiot has been heavily linked with Catalan club for the past few months.

Rabiot’s contract expires at the end of the season, and according to FIFA regulations, he will be free to negotiate with the clubs with any team on January 1, next year. Juventus could make a €10 million for the Frenchman, according to Corrie dello Sport.

The Parisian side are desperately trying to get Rabiot to sign a new contract with the club as they don’t want to see him leave for fee, especially to Barcelona who they don’t have a good relationship with due to past dealings.

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has spoken about his player’s situation and position, where many people would like to see him play and the former Borussia Dortmund manager expressing his desire to keep the No. 6 at Paris de Parc.

“He’s a very curios player. He has an offensive mind and likes to take risks. His future is in his hands, the decision belongs to him. He has to decide whether he is engaging with us, how we work, or whether he chooses a new challenge.” Tuchel said.

However, the Parisian newspaper also pointed out that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi did not completely ignore the player, he may also make decisive action to convince the player to stay.

The Qatari doesn’t want to lose their base characters, especially a player who has grown up in the club and can become a role model for local players.

It is reported that Rabiot has provided a three-year contract, the annual salary has increased to about €9 million, and there are bonuses every year.

But this doesn’t convince the 23-year-old midfielder that he also wants to receive an additional €10 million in renewal bonus. But for PSG, the high salary of players is a tricky issue because they try to comply with UEFA’s FFP rules.

Rabiot has provided 23 goals and 16 assists in 2017/18 appearances across all competitions for French side. Meanwhile, French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet is keen to sit down with Rabiot at the end of this year to see how he feels about international duty.
