A FootMercato report this week claimed that PSG are insisting on a fee of 70 million euros for Ugarte, while Man United cannot meet that figure until they release more players.
However, it is believed that the two clubs are currently at the stage of discussing the various of Ugarte’s transfer and they are close to completing the transfer.
According to the same report, Ugarte has also warned PSG that Man United is his first choice destination and has refused to move to another club.
Ugarte was brought in by PSG from Portuguese club Sporting last year in a deal worth 60 million euros.
The 23-year-old started 27 matches in all competitions for PSG last season, but was left on the bench by Luis Enrique in the two legs of the Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund.

Martin Zubimendi previously made a statement about his future. He itted that currently he is still comfortable playing at Real Sociedad.
“Where will I play next season? I will be at Real Sociedad,” he told El Diario Vasco.
“I have a contract with Real Sociedad and that’s where I feel most comfortable,” stressed Zubimendi.
