Manchester United lost 0-2 to Newcastle in the 19th week of the 2024/2025 Premier League at Old Trafford Stadium, Monday (30/12/2024).
Man United appeared chaotic in the first half. However, after changing tactics in the middle of the game, their performance improved even though they had difficulty creating opportunities in Newcastle’s defense.
Newcastle’s goals were scored by Alexander Isak and Joelinton. Newcastle now has 32 points from 19 matches.
The Magpies rose to fifth place in the 2024/2025 Premier League standings. Meanwhile, Man United slumped to 14th position with 22 points.
Manchester United and Newcastle immediately played aggressively in this match. They both tried to attack.
However, Newcastle was able to score first in the fourth minute. Alexander Isak broke through Onana’s goal with a header from close range, welcoming Lewis Hall’s cross from the left, which had hit Mazraoui’s thigh first.
