England have not even beaten Italy in official international matches (not international friendlies) since the World Cup Qualifiers in November 1977. At that time, goals from Kevin Keegan and Trevor Brooking brought Ron Greenwood’s men to victory 2 -0 against an Italian team managed by legendary coach Enzo Bearzot.
