Euro 2020 Results: Beat Sweden, Ukraine to Quarter-Final 1s1o27

Ukraine beat Sweden 2-1 in the round of 16 of Euro 2020 (Euro 2021) which took place at Hampden Park Stadium, Glasgow, Scotland, Wednesday (40/6).

Ukraine took the lead in the 27th minute. Ukraine’s planned attack penetrated Sweden penalty box. Andriy Yarmolenko sent a into empty space. Oleksandr Zinchenko greeted him with a left-footed shot. The ball that slid fast had hit the hands of Robin Olsen but could not be stopped into Sweden goal.

Sweden had to play with 10 men from the 98th minute. Marcus Danielsson was awarded a red card after violating Artem Besedin. Initially referee Daniele Orsato gave a yellow card, but after seeing the replay another decision was made by the referee.

Outnumbered, Sweden is more ive. Ukraine also tried to confine the defense of the Blaugult squad. Fewer chances in extra time.

When the 1-1 scoreline held until the final seconds of extra time, a cross from Zinchenko on the left was completed with a fine header by Artem Dovbyk.

Ukraine advanced to the quarter-finals and will face England.
