Chelsea successfully defeated Liverpool in the 35th week of the 2024/2025 Premier League at Stamford Bridge, Sunday (04/05/2025).
This duel was Liverpool’s first duel after officially becoming champions of the 2024/2025 Premier League. The Reds rotated players and this made them quite overwhelmed facing Chelsea who appeared with a full team.
Chelsea’s goals were scored by Enzo Fernandez, Jarell Quansah’s own goal, and Cole Palmer. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s goal was scored by Virgil van Dijk.
This result made Chelsea collect 63 points and is now in fifth place in the 2024/2025 Premier League standings. Meanwhile, Liverpool still recorded 82 points from 35 matches.
Liverpool immediately put pressure on Chelsea’s defense since the match started. The duel also looked like it would present an exciting duel.
