As the defending champion, Team Liquid Indonesia (TLID) has not been able to show the expected dominance in MPL ID Season 15.
Until the middle of the competition, the team strengthened by Faviann et al. was stuck in sixth place in the standings, an achievement far below expectations for a team of their caliber.
In the fourth week that just ended, TLID recorded mixed results. They were silenced by Bigetron Esports (BTR) with a score of 2-1, before closing the week with a victory over ONIC Esports with an identical score.
The mixed results seemed to confirm the instability of the team’s performance throughout this season. After the match against ONIC, Faviann, TLID’s main jungler, openly itted that his team still faces a number of obstacles.
“TLID’s performance is still less than satisfactory, we haven’t improved since the beginning of the season so we are still struggling,” said Faviann in an interview session with Bude Clara. “Until now the problem has not been solved, the most crucial thing is communication and gameplay that need improvement.”
Faviann, who is known as one of the best Fanny players in Indonesia, also gave his response regarding the hero’s performance this season:
- “Fanny only won once in MPL S15 because it was difficult to take objectives,” he explained.
- “Playing Fanny is just kill-kill, but Fanny Faviann is different. Which MPL teams dare to let go?” he exclaimed.
With only the second half of the competition left, TLID must immediately conduct a comprehensive evaluation because if not, they risk failing to appear in the playoffs, a situation that all teams clearly want to avoid, especially the defending champion team.
Next week TLID will continue their adventure in MPL ID Season 15 by facing challenges from Alter Ego and Dewa.
