After the end of the Point Blank National Championship XV held by Zepetto Point Blank Indonesia at Taman Anggrek Mall on February 5-9, 2025, the two strongest Indonesian teams, namely Comeback Neverland713 and CFTZ KG588, managed to advance to the Point Blank International Championship (PBIC) 2025 at the ESA Esports Arena Istanbul, Turkey, on February 22-23, 2025.
Unfortunately, the Indonesian Team failed to become champions at PBIC 2025. CFTZ KG588 only ranked third, while Comeback Neverland713 ranked fifth.
Based on the PBIC 2025 draw bracket released on February 18, 2025, the CFTZ KG588 team had to face the VOEART team from Brazil who brought the legendary Point Blank player, Vett. Meanwhile, Comeback Neverland713 faced the team from Turkey, SUNME, in a best of one format. Both Indonesian teams managed to advance to the second round of the upper bracket and had to fight each other, with the final result being that CFTZ KG588 continued to advance to the third round. In the semi-finals, CFTZ KG588 met Azerbaijan’s representative, Denizbank Istanbul Wildcats, but Indonesia had to fall with a score of 2-0.
Through a very fierce battle, the Denizbank Istanbul Wildcats team from Azerbaijan managed to win the world champion title and take home a prize of $55,000 USD. The victory of the Denizbank Istanbul Wildcats team was followed by the ReformatioNvl713 x Fruity team from Thailand in second place, CFTZ KG588 in third place, PCIFIC CREATURE in fourth place, Comeback Neverland713 in fifth place, Who Cares? in sixth place, VOEART in seventh place, and SUNME in last place.
The success of PBIC 2025 marks the end of one of the important chapters in the Point Blank esports scene in 2024 and opens a new chapter in 2025 with great enthusiasm. The first tournament in this new journey is Point Blank Rising Star which will be held in April 2025.
