Mohammed Salah Broke David Beckham’s Premier League Record 1qey

Mohamed Salah broke another record in the Premier League after Liverpool’s match against West Ham at the London Stadium, Monday (30/12/2024) early morning WIB.

Salah played an important role behind Liverpool’s big 5-0 victory over West Ham. Salah scored one goal and two assists in the match at the end of 2024.

The goal and assist in one match made Mohamed Salah break the record in the Premier League. Salah has scored goals and assists in the same match in eight matches this season.

This record makes Salah now officially hold the record as the player with the most matches when he scores goals and assists simultaneously. Salah sured the records of Bruno Fernandes, Harry Kane, Robin van Persie, Thierry Henry, and Alan Shearer who all scored goals and assists in seven matches in one season.

Interestingly, Salah broke the record in just 18 matches. That means there are still 20 matches left to continue to sharpen the record.

With 2 assists in this match, Salah also managed to sur the number of assists ever achieved by David Beckham while wearing the Manchester United uniform.

In nine seasons in the Premier League, David Beckham scored 80 assists for Manchester United. Beckham’s record has now been sured by Salah.

Mohamed Salah is recorded as having scored 81 assists in the Premier League after a 10-year career in the Premier League. Salah scored 80 assists with Liverpool, while 1 other assist was for Chelsea.

Mohamed Salah’s performance itself is quite good this season. Moreover, Mohamed Salah’s contract at Liverpool ends this season and there has been no official announcement regarding a contract extension.

In the midst of this uncertainty, Salah remains consistent in appearing as the driving force of Liverpool’s attack. This season, Salah has scored 20 goals and 17 assists in just 26 matches in all competitions.

A number of rumors have mentioned that Salah will get a contract extension for two seasons at Liverpool. If there is no clarity, Salah has the right to negotiate with other clubs in the January transfer market.
