Colombia finally found the equalizer in the 75th minute when Luis Diaz capitalized on a from Jorge Carrascal, raising the spirits of the home crowd. Buoyed by the goal, Los Cafeteros continued to press forward and overturned the game with Diaz netting another goal in the 79th minute.
Following these goals, Colombia maintained their lead until the final whistle, securing a 2-1 victory over Brazil.
