Ole Gunnar Solskjaer mention Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof at a press conference after Manchester United beat Bournemouth in the Premier League 2018/2019 on Sunday (30/12).
Man United’s three consecutive wins with Solskjaer have not been able to lift the club’s position in the Premier League standings, but the Red Devils are now approaching the top five with three points behind of Arsenal in the European zone.
Winning 4-1 over Bournemouth, Solskjaer also extended a positive record with Man United. Two goals and one assist Paul Pogba made the Norwegian manager appreciate the midfielder.
“This time is a top-flight appearance for the midfielder, because it covers the whole. Performance, threats in the penalty box, he won the air duel, he won the ball and no pretense,” Solskjaer was quoted as saying by Mirror.
“Touch, bait, movement and he plays efficiently, Paul knows he can play well,” continued the figure who had handled Pogba at Man United’s junior team.
In a conversation with the players, Solskjaer explained the desire to see Man United players enjoy the game and show their abilities without forgetting the team playing style.
The man who was a Man United striker for 11 years also gave praise to Rashford who contributed to two goals against Bournemouth, with a record of one assist and one goal.
“I am happy with his performance because he is able to perform and he will be a top player. The way he plays, his performance, he achieves everything. I am very happy he can score. Now he has scored two of three games, but his performance makes me happy.”
