Speaking to Corriere dello Sport quoted from Sportskeeda, Xavi said this season 99 percent would be the last for the former Barcelona captain. According to Xavi, who now plays for Al Sadd SC, it is natural for a player who will be 39 years old to decide to retire.

Didier Drogba

“I like my role as a player-owner. I am surrounded by a lot of young people, and I like to convey my knowledge to them. But this season is the last. I’m 40, now it’s time [retirement].” said Drogba.
Robin van Persie
Until now, Van Persie was the last player to announce himself to retire from football. This was revealed on October 25, 2018. The former Manchester United player will close his career beautifully. Because Van Persie hung his shoes with his idol club, where the 35-year-old started his career, Feyenoord Rotterdam.
